Singapore
Singapore releases new data centre capacity in controlled tranches tied to green energy and efficiency standards.
New capacity is allocated through government calls for application rather than on a first-come basis. The second call, launched on 1 December 2025, offered at least 200MW and was followed by a provisional allocation of 200MW to four operators. Applicants are assessed on economic contribution and on sustainability, including Green Mark Platinum and a PUE of 1.25 or better, and must source at least half their power from specified green energy pathways.
