Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia regulates data centre services through registration and has consulted on a law to host foreign data on special terms.
The communications regulator requires providers of data centre services in the Kingdom to register each facility. In 2025 it consulted on a Global AI Hub Law with three models (private, extended and virtual centres) letting international entities host data under differing sovereignty arrangements. We could not confirm from a fetched source whether that law has since been adopted.
The rules and programmes
