Austria
Austria has a national AI mission to 2030, an AI service office at the regulator and a planned AI Factory built around an AI-optimised supercomputer.
AI policy rests on AIM AT 2030 and its 2024 implementation plan, with a national AI Service Office and an advisory board set up by law in 2024. The EuroHPC AI Factory AI:AT is led by Advanced Computing Austria and the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology with major universities. It will build an AI-optimised supercomputer and a physical AI hub, but EuroHPC does not yet give a service start date. For someone seeking compute, nothing at AI Factory scale is open yet, and we did not collect Austrian power or data centre facts.
AI policy and activity
AI:AT aims to be a one-stop shop for start-ups, SMEs, public administration and researchers. EuroHPC says it will give equal access to basic services for public institutions, academics, start-ups and SMEs in participating states without their own factory. Slovakia is listed as an antenna.
