Greece

Greece is building the DAEDALUS supercomputer at Lavrio and has a Pharos AI Factory, under a national AI strategy now in implementation.

The Pharos AI Factory serves health, culture and language, and sustainability, using the EuroHPC DAEDALUS system, a 58.9 million euro project at the Lavrion Technological and Cultural Park in Attica run by GRNET. Implementation began on 26 March 2025. EuroHPC lists DAEDALUS at 89 petaflops sustained, on HPE NVIDIA GH200 technology. The national AI strategy stresses alignment with the EU AI Act. For someone seeking compute, Pharos is the route for start-ups, SMEs and researchers, though EuroHPC does not yet give a service start date. We did not collect Greek power facts.

AI policy and activity

Pharos is a flagship of the Blueprint for Greece's AI Transformation. A Greek press report says it would be fully operational in the first quarter of 2026, while EuroHPC still lists availability as not announced.
