Lithuania
Lithuania won EuroHPC backing for LitAI, a 130 million euro AI factory said to be the only facility of its scale in the Baltic states.
A Vilnius University-led consortium secured 65 million euros of EU co-financing for LitAI, half of the 130 million euro budget. It will be hosted at the Lithuanian Radio and Television Centre's VDC3 data centre in Vilnius and priorities include cybersecurity, green energy, smart industry and digital health. EuroHPC says it will link with Polish HPC and quantum sites. For someone seeking compute, LitAI is the planned national route. We did not collect Lithuanian regulation or grid facts.
AI policy and activity
The consortium includes Vilnius University, Kaunas University of Technology, Vilnius Tech, Vytautas Magnus University, the State Data Agency and the Innovation Agency.
