Trinidad and Tobago
Trinidad and Tobago signed preliminary agreements in July 2026 for up to 800 MW of data centres, with water and power still to be solved.
On 11 July 2026 the prime minister signed memorandums of understanding with Hummingbird AI and EY for data centres at Debe, a designated special economic zone. They are reported as up to 800 MW in total, with Hummingbird targeting first commercial operation in Q1 2028. The government projects US$5 billion of investment. These are preliminary and no facility exists. For someone seeking compute, treat this as a pipeline, not capacity.
Power and grid
The report says solar is planned to grow, citing 8.37 MW of solar in 2024 and a projection of 336.24 MW by 2029. That is small next to the proposed load, and we did not read how gas-fired supply would be handled.
