A new AI supercomputer for the existing CSC data centre; EuroHPC signed the contract on 31 August 2026 and operation is expected in 2027. No power or cooling figures are disclosed.
What we checked
- EuroHPC signed a contract with Bull to deploy LUMI-AI at CSC in Kajaani, with AMD Instinct MI430X GPUs and a total budget of EUR 387.8 million. (source)
- Norway's research computing body says it joins LUMI-AI, which is due to enter operation in the second half of 2027. (source)
